Recharge Metals Limited is an ASX-listed explorer focused on the on the recently acquired Carter Uranium Project, within the prolific uranium province of the Powder River Basin, USA. In addition, Recharge is advancing the Newnham Lake Uranium Project in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada; the Express Lithium Project in James Bay, Québec, Canada; and the Brandy Hill South Project, Western Australia.
The Carter Uranium Project is located on the northern outer rim of the Powder River Basin and is within 250 kilometres of six permitted ISR uranium production facilities. Carter is host to significant historic uranium resources over a strike extent of approximately 11 kilometres. These include Acadia with a historical resource estimate of ~3.7 Mlbs U₃O₈ (2.1m tonnes @ 1,250ppm), and the Mindy historical resource estimate of ~1.4 Mlbs U₃O₈ (0.45m tonnes @ 1,560ppm).
The project was intensely explored by numerous major mining and energy companies during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Kerr McGee was particularly active in its joint venture with Chevron in the area and drilled thousands of reconnaissance and closer spaced delineation holes on and around Recharge’s Carter Project.
The Newnham Lake Uranium Project in the Athabasca Basin is close to the northeast margin of the Basin and covers an area of 15.84 km². The region is highly fertile for uranium mineralisation and just 56km from IsoEnergy’s (ISO.V) Hurricane Zone, which has a resource of 48.6Mlbs of U₃O₈ based on 63,800 tonnes grading 34.5% U₃O₈ (including 43.9 Mlbs of U₃O₈ at an average grade of 52.1% U₃O₈ within the high-grade domain).
Historical drilling confirmed the presence of uranium in both the unconformity and basement rocks, however, there has been little follow up despite geophysical surveys demonstrating an exceptionally large-scale system extending to depth beneath Newnham Lake.
The Express Lithium Project, James Bay, Québec, covers 74 km². The project is supported by excellent regional infrastructure and is close to Allkem’s (ASX: AKE) James Bay deposit, with a resource of 110.2Mt @ 1.3% Li₂O; and Nemaska’s Whabouchi mine, with reserves of 36.6Mt @ 1.3% Li₂O.
Recharge also holds Brandy Hill South Project in Western Australia, where we have defined broad zones of copper over a strike length of 500m. A recent independent technical review proposed a new model, with data supporting evidence of a well-preserved porphyry copper system.
Recharge is run by an experienced board and management team with a mix of corporate, commercial, and technical capability and expertise, led by accomplished geologist Ms Felicity Repacholi as Managing Director, with experienced uranium geologist, Ben Vallerine recently appointed as Non Executive Director. Dahrouge Consulting engaged as Recharge’s in-country consultant for technical and geological expertise with exploration oversight across Carter, Newnham Lake and Express projects.
